Off to Halong Bay

Six adults, two infants, and a toddler on a couple-hour bus ride and then a boat overnight. Are we crazy?

We just couldn't face another day at the hotel and needed a change of scenery in one of the most amazing sites on the planet, according to UNESCO. Look up Halong Bay on Wikipedia, or see our photos later.

Love to all.

Have fun on the boat trip. We looked up the site on Wik---it looks amazing. Take lots of pics. We're getting impatient waiting for you, but while you're there, see all you can. Give Loc a kiss (or sniff) for us. Mom & Dad

Enjoy Halong Bay, it looks great! I will see you some time in mid-August as I am off to Nigeria on Friday. I'll only be back on the 11th and then leave for Okla on the 14th. Let's see...a drum from Nigeria and then a cow bell from OKC!!!! Junior will be a well-rounded musician! Aunt Melon

Crazy? I don't think so. I think it's a great idea for you to see as much of Vietnam as you can. After all, Loc is going to be asking about this trip someday.

You guys have a wonderful time on your boat trip and damn those airlines, all the money the bunch of you are putting into a hotel all the families should get together and charter a small jet to bring you home, haha! probably cheaper! Everybody has waited with giddiness and anticipation this long so why not a couple more days! Stinks though! If it makes you feel better it has been about a 163 degrees here with the humidity at about 486%.ha.
love to all!
